Topics Discussed:
How do you know when it’s safe to shop online:
Look for the https:// in the address field.
Look for the locked padlock in your browser’s status bar.

What you can do to protect yourself online:
When you make an online order, make sure you receive an e-mail order confirmation. Most companies allow 24-72 hours (1 to 3 days) to cancel and/or dispute an order.
Similarily, people have 60 days to dispute any credit card charges and in most cases the credit card company will credit the account.
