This post is a continuation of what I wrote in June.
At first glance, one would not think of Facebook as a professional networking site. When I finally signed up over a year ago, I was shocked at the number of business contacts that I had that were already on Facebook. I quickly learned that I had to learn how to keep professional and personal sides of my Facebook account separate.
Here are a few tips that have helped me keep my two worlds apart: Read the rest of this entry »

Grandma used to take me inside the voting booth when I was little. She wanted to make sure that I understood the voting process and how important it is to be heard. With the General Election being less than a week away. I cannot begin the stress the importance of getting kids involved and aware of voting.

Checking Woot! has now become a daily habit. Good thing because on one such day, I found Neat Receipts on Woot! and I’ve caved once again. I was able to scan my 50 something receipts in about an hour.
Neat Receipts also does business cards and documents. Now I also have something to deal with the ever growing pile of business cards on my desk

I was lucky enough to win an SMX T-shirt from SMX East this week. How often does a girl get 2 shirts in one week without having to pay for them?

I don’t get the chance to get out that often, but when I do, it’s almost always work related. Yesterday was not any different as I attended Wordcamp NY.
Matt Mullenweig, the Keynote speaker spoke to the gathered about what to expect in the upcoming months regarding Wordpress. He also mentions some well known names who are using the blogging platform.
Aaron Brazell of Technosailor, very appropriately summed it all up that its up to the people to determine there experience with the brand.
Jeremy Clarke explained the ins, outs and everything needed in the developer’s toolbox to run and maintain a blog network. One of the things that he emphasized was being clear about the goals from the beginning which can save a ton of time in the long run.
More recap is coming. Its a very busy conference week in the city. In the meantime, follow me on Twitter or del.icio.us.
