Over the past week, I was under the weather.

There were mornings that I did not feel like firing up the laptop. Yet the comments on various blogs kept coming in. What’s a blogger to do?

If you have a Blackberry or an iPhone/iPod Touch, you are in luck.

WordPress has a application available both for the Blackberry and the iPhone/iPod Touch.

I did a review on posting from my blackberry.

Plus I was able to easily moderate comments on my iPod Touch.

For those of you on TypePad, there are also both a iPhone App and a Blackberry App.

What ever platform you are on, there is a will and a way to stay on top of your blog, even when you are on the go.

If you have a blog on Blogger and are FTPing to your own web host, your days are numbered.

Blogger announced that it will end its FTP support soon.

Blogger states that they introduced custom domain support 3 years ago.

This is similar to the domain mapping that TypePad does for its users. This would give users the same Blogger features without the need for web hosting.

In lieu of my semi-usual TypePad Thursday post, I am dedicating this post to John T. Unger’s cause.

Just in case you didn’t hear, John T. Unger , the expert behind TypePad Hacks is being sued by imitators.

(This is too Kafkaesque to go into detail here.) I’ll let John go ahead and explain himself what the situation is all about.

I finally have a recap in SlideShare of my Geek Lab talk on TypePad. There is only so much that was covered in such a short amount of time, that I decided to put what I wanted to say in a presentation.

Disclosure: I know I have screenshots that are in Pre-launch format of the new TypePad. I prepared most of the images before the launch. In the future, I plan to edit the presentation with the new images when time permits.

Matt Mullenweig, the Keynote speaker spoke to the gathered about what to expect in the upcoming months regarding WordPress. He also mentions some well known names who are using the blogging platform.

Aaron Brazell of Technosailor, very appropriately summed it all up that its up to the people to determine there experience with the brand.

Jeremy Clarke explained the ins,outs and everything needed in the developer’s toolbox to run and maintain a blog network. One of the things that he emphasized was being clear about the goals from the beginning which can save a ton of time in the long run.
