Controlling the Google Buzz

Unless you haven’t been online, there is a new buzz going around.

The jury is still out regarding privacy implications and all, but in the meantime, I ran across a couple of good tips to implement right away until we can make heads and tails out of this.

Stephanie Booth @stephtara posted on her blog to first go into your Google Profile and uncheck the “Display the list of people I’m following and people following me” checkbox on the right.

Rachel Figueroa-Levin @Jewyorican posted a tweet to go into your gmail account and click on “turn off buzz” on the bottom on your gmail account.

We know its early yet, but in the meantime you can be sure you and your contacts are protected.
