I know its was a week and a half ago. However, the lessons from WordCampNYC live on.
I just created my first WordPress child theme. I liked it so much that I changed my blog and site themes.
I have to thank both Daisy Olsen (for going over it at the WordPress NYC meetup) and for Allan Cole for reminding me about the joy of having a child theme.
Also, even though I didn’t make the WordPress Security session, I did manage to take and implement some tips thanks to Sunday’s “Best of” sessions.
They say the mark of a good conference is when people want to go on their computers and laptops and implement what they learned. I am so happy and honored to not only be a part of the conference, but also being able to learn from it.
